10 errors when working with a laptop

The laptop will last longer if you follow the rules for using it. So, 10 tips for using a laptop.

The first advice – Do not let the laptop work after flooding.

The most common laptop failure is spilling liquid onto the keyboard under which the motherboard is located. Moisture gradually corrodes the conductors (corrosion), after some period the laptop fails. Immediately after flooding, turn off the device and take it to a service center.

The second advice – Do not block the ventilation openings.

When the laptop is operated on a soft surface, the openings of the ventilation system overlap and air ventilation deteriorates, which leads to overheating of the processor, motherboard, video card.

The third advice – Do not power your laptop from random power supplies.

Even if the voltage and current strength match yours, there is a high probability of failure of the control board of the battery assembly. If they do not match, anything can burn out, up to the motherboard.

The fourth advice –Incorrect opening of the laptop cover at the corners, not at the center of the matrix, abrupt and strong closing, transfer of the laptop around the corner of the cover.

With a skew of 14-15 inch matrices, the forces acting on the bend are quite significant. Ten, one hundred, three hundred openings - and cracks appear in the place of the hinges.

The fifth advice – Once every six months do preventative maintenance in the service.

The cost of prevention is small, but will help protect against expensive repairs. Cleaning the fan and replacing the thermal paste will prevent the processor from overheating, and its failure.

The sixth advice – Do not plug the connector of the included power supply into the laptop.

This is one of the most common reasons a laptop crashes. Turning on the laptop in this way, sooner or later, either the power supply will burn out, or the motherboard will burn out. The order of inclusion in the network should be as follows: first we connect the power supply to the laptop, and only then plug the plug into a power outlet.

The seventh advice – Shaking laptop violently.

The hard drive is very sensitive to external mechanical influences such as vibration and shaking. Therefore, to reduce the risk of damage, never carry your laptop while it is turned on. After all, its failure entails not only the inoperability of the laptop itself, but also the loss of all data.

The eighth advice – The presence of a battery during continuous operation from the mains.

If you use a laptop as a desktop PC, and it is constantly connected to the mains, it is recommended to disconnect the battery, pre-charging it by 40-50%.

The ninth advice – Do not turn on the laptop immediately after putting it into the room with frost.

Like any electronic device, the laptop is subject to the "frost effect". Have you noticed how the glasses fog up with frost? The same thing happens inside the laptop. Hoarfrost is water, and water, as you know, is a conductor; short circuiting in a complex electronic device leads to its failure. The motherboard is the first cost component of the laptop, so it’s better to wait 40-60 minutes before turning it on, and in severe frosts it’s better to spend a couple of hours.

10. And most importantly: in the event of a breakdown, do not try to fix the laptop yourself - bring it to an authorized service center.

To fix an unskilled repair is much more difficult, and for the money it will cost more. And if the laptop is guaranteed - all the more so, if you intervene, you risk losing the guarantee.
